The integration will occur within the Leumi Trade capital markets app, providing a secure and regulated environment for digital transactions. Customers of both the main bank and its mobile-focused division, PEPPER, will utilize GalaxyOne Institutional, a platform designed to provide banking institutions with robust execution and custody services. The bank has also secured a separate agreement with Galaxy’s custody infrastructure arm to manage the underlying asset storage.
Maya Ravia, head of strategy at Bank Leumi, described the move as a cornerstone of the bank's innovation strategy, emphasizing the necessity of offering regulated pathways into the evolving global financial system. Lior Lamesh, CEO of Galaxy Israel, noted that the collaboration aims to provide the foundational trust required for institutions to enter the digital space, betting that early adoption will define the future of local banking.
