New Hospital Alert System Aims to Curb Pathogen Transmission

An inventor from McDonough, Georgia, has developed the I S O SIGN, a specialized alert system designed to notify medical staff of infection risks before they enter a patient’s room. The device serves as a preventative barrier, prompting personnel to either avoid entry or adopt immediate protective measures.

The design focuses on reducing the transmission of diseases within hospitals and clinical environments. By providing a clear, early warning, the system aims to minimize accidental exposure to viruses and bacteria. Its practical configuration ensures that the signage is simple to install and integrate into existing medical facility workflows.

InventHelp, the organization managing the submission, is currently seeking manufacturers or marketers interested in licensing the technology. Technical drawings and a prototype model are available for review by interested parties through the company’s Pittsburgh office.
