IDEA Consultants Inc. reported a steady net profit of ¥2.38 billion for the fiscal year ending December 31, matching its prior-year performance despite a slight contraction in operating margins.

IDEA Consultants Posts Stable ¥2.38 Billion Net Profit

IDEA Consultants Inc. (9768.TO) maintained its bottom-line stability as group revenue climbed to ¥24.62 billion, up from ¥24.31 billion in the previous fiscal period. According to the company's financial filing, the modest top-line growth was tempered by rising costs, which pressured the firm's core profitability metrics.

Operating profit for the year fell to ¥3.19 billion from ¥3.25 billion, while pretax profit followed a similar trajectory, settling at ¥3.37 billion. Despite these lower operating results, the company managed to sustain its net income levels through the end of the term. Earnings per share (EPS) saw a marginal improvement, rising to ¥333.53 from ¥332.81 a year earlier.

Performance Under Local Standards

The results, which are based on Japanese accounting standards, reflect a period of consolidation for the Tokyo-listed consultancy. The company appears to be prioritizing bottom-line consistency even as domestic infrastructure and environmental sectors face evolving cost structures.

Summary of the fiscal year results:

    • Group revenue increased to ¥24.62 billion.
    • Net profit remained unchanged at ¥2.38 billion.
    • Operating profit margin narrowed slightly to approximately 13%.
