Marking two decades of recognizing global scientific achievement, the foundation’s latest list includes a diverse array of innovators, ranging from AI-driven diagnostic platforms to advanced surgical systems. The selection process explicitly excludes commercial sales data, focusing instead on the transformative potential of each candidate. For the "Best Medical Technology" category, nominees must have secured U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval within the last five years.
"Witnessing the incredible momentum in medical technology and startup ventures is inspiring," said Kenneth C. Frazier, Co-Chair of the Prix Galien USA Awards Committee. The nominees span critical fields, including mental health support, neurostimulation, and robotic-assisted radiotherapy. Notable additions to the digital health category include Future Doctor Inc, alongside established players like Abbott and Medtronic in the medical technology sector. The final winners will be announced on October 29, 2026, during the foundation’s annual ceremony.
