New York BagelFest Returns to Citi Field with Global Lineup

More than 25 elite bagel makers from five countries will descend upon Citi Field on November 15, 2026, for the annual New York BagelFest. The festival, which accepted less than 9% of applicants this year, promises a day of unlimited tastings and high-stakes culinary competition for thousands of carb enthusiasts.

The curated roster features a mix of legendary New York institutions and international innovators from Ireland, Spain, Canada, and India. Attendees can sample everything from traditional wood-fired staples to experimental creations, while participating bakeries vie for titles including Best Bagel and Schmear of the Year. Founder Sam Silverman described the selection process as the most competitive in the festival’s history, noting that the event serves as a vital industry benchmark for craftsmanship and innovation.

Beyond the tasting floor, the event includes live demonstrations, educational programming, and the return of the World Bagel Rolling Championship. Defending champions, including Dallas-based Starship Bagel and Seattle’s Hey Bagel, are set to return to the diamond to protect their titles. Early bird tickets for the November event go on sale September 8 at $49, with general admission prices starting at $69.
