Global Brands Magazine CEO Jay Reddy noted that the bank’s approach prioritizes practical value for customers over mere technological novelty. This focus on accessibility aligns with the bank's broader strategy to support the UAE’s transition into a digital-first economy. The award committee evaluated nominees based on sustained innovation and measurable impact, selecting CBD for its commitment to evolving the retail and commercial banking experience.

Vladislavs Mironovs, Chief Digital Officer at CBD, emphasized that the bank’s digital philosophy centers on making financial interactions both secure and seamless. As of June 30, 2026, the bank reported total assets of AED 154.5 billion and a net profit of AED 1,885 million before tax. These figures underscore the financial stability supporting its ongoing digital initiatives, which include the 'UP by CBD' platform for small businesses and the iBusiness suite for corporate clients. The formal presentation of the 2026 awards is scheduled to take place at the Address Sky View in Dubai on October 2.
