Spreer Albert takes the helm following the retirement of Michael Burke, who served as interim CFO until July 1. WMCHealth President and CEO David Lubarsky emphasized that her background in managing complex academic health systems is essential for the network's future investments and long-term sustainability.

Before this appointment, Spreer Albert served as CFO and COO at Albany Med Health System, where she managed a $3 billion, four-hospital network. Her tenure there was marked by significant financial restructuring, including a $73 million turnaround post-pandemic and the execution of a $400 million public debt transaction. Her earlier career includes 12 years at KPMG, where she focused on healthcare consulting and financial transitions. She holds a degree from the University at Albany, which honored her with the Stoneman Distinguished Alumni Award in 2025.
