Global Girls Glow Rebrands as Global Catalyst to Expand Advocacy

After fifteen years of mentoring adolescent leaders, the nonprofit formerly known as Global Girls Glow has officially rebranded as Global Catalyst. The change accompanies an intensified strategy to position girls not merely as program participants, but as the primary architects driving social change across 30 countries.

The organization, which serves over 100,000 girls aged 10 to 18, maintains its core mission and signature GLOW Club program despite the new identity. Operating in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and North America, the group currently supports more than 400 active clubs. CEO Crystal Sprague noted that while the previous name highlighted the demographic served, the new branding emphasizes the active role these girls play in their families and communities.

This transition follows a nine-month development process involving 60 stakeholders, including alumni and local partners. As the organization moves forward, it plans to scale girl-led advocacy initiatives, which reached 17,000 people in 2025. By providing resources and a platform for lived experiences, the group aims to ensure that its members are central figures in global conversations regarding education and rights.
