Ameren Illinois Prices $400 Million in Mortgage Bonds

Ameren Illinois has priced a $400 million offering of 5.50% first mortgage bonds maturing in 2036. The utility company set the offering price at 99.988% of the principal amount, with the transaction scheduled to finalize on August 24, 2026, pending the completion of standard closing requirements.

The subsidiary of Ameren Corporation plans to direct the net proceeds from this bond sale toward the repayment of existing short-term debt. The offering is being managed by a syndicate of financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc., SMBC Nikko Securities America, Inc., and TD Securities (USA) LLC.

Ameren Illinois maintains a significant footprint in the energy sector, serving 1.2 million electric customers and over 800,000 natural gas customers across central and southern Illinois.
