Allspring Adjusts Monthly and Quarterly Distributions for Closed-End Funds

Allspring Global Investments has announced its latest distribution schedule for four closed-end funds, reflecting minor adjustments in per-share payouts. While three funds will continue monthly cycles, the Global Dividend Opportunity Fund maintains its quarterly schedule, with all payments slated for October 1, 2026, for shareholders of record by September 11.

The adjustments reveal a mixed trend across the firm's portfolio. The Income Opportunities Fund (EAD) and Multi-Sector Income Fund (ERC) saw marginal decreases of $0.00016 and $0.00013 per share, respectively. Conversely, the Utilities and High Income Fund (ERH) and the Global Dividend Opportunity Fund (EOD) recorded increases of $0.00010 and $0.00610 per share. These payments are governed by managed distribution plans that target annual fixed rates ranging from 8% to 9% of average net asset value.

Allspring cautioned that these distributions are sourced from income, paid-in capital, or capital gains, and should not be misconstrued as indicators of overall investment performance. Because fund returns may fluctuate, payouts can occasionally exceed net earnings, which may impact net asset value over time. Final tax reporting for these dividends will be finalized after the close of the fiscal year, with shareholders receiving Form 1099-DIV to clarify the tax implications of their holdings.
