The Danish pharmaceutical firm’s growth was primarily fueled by the strong performance of Vyepti and Rexulti. Vyepti alone saw a 46% increase in revenue at constant exchange rates, reinforcing its role as a key driver for the company. While the transition to a partnership model across 27 markets temporarily impacted financial reporting due to a DKK 470 million inventory build in the first quarter, underlying revenue growth remained robust at 13%.
EBITDA rose to DKK 4.61 billion, an 18% increase that reflects both focused commercial execution and the normalization of costs following earlier strategic shifts. Despite higher R&D investments, including the advancement of the bexicaserin clinical program, the company’s earnings per share climbed to DKK 2.83. President and CEO Charl van Zyl noted that the company is moving into the next phase of its strategy with a strengthened balance sheet and significant progress in its pipeline, including recent FDA fast-track designation for its oral narcolepsy candidate, Lu AH69593.
