Vector Science Files Patent for Orthopedic Regenerative Platform

Mequon-based Vector Science and Therapeutics Corp. has filed a provisional patent for a medical platform designed to accelerate orthopedic tissue healing. The system integrates regenerative peptides with a patient’s own platelet-rich biologics while optimizing surgical protocols to protect natural repair cells from common interference.

The filing covers methods and compositions intended to bridge the gap between existing platelet-rich plasma treatments and advanced peptide therapy. Company leadership suggests that combining these elements may trigger a more robust regenerative response than using either therapy in isolation. A critical component of the platform involves adjunct formulations designed to prevent standard pain management and infection-control agents from hindering the body’s natural healing processes.

CEO William Jackson noted that the initiative addresses a persistent conflict in surgical care, where routine medications often inadvertently suppress the very cells required for recovery. With over 30 million Americans suffering from osteoarthritis, the company aims to standardize the coordination between biologics and peptides. The provisional application secures a priority date for the technology, though the platform remains in the early development stage. All described candidates are currently investigational, and the company has not yet initiated clinical human studies or received regulatory approval from the FDA.
