WrkPlan Expands ERP Suite with AI and Manufacturing Tools

Government contractor software provider WrkPlan is scaling its platform with three distinct product lines, aiming to modernize core accounting processes and automate the labor-intensive proposal writing cycle. The expansion introduces artificial intelligence into request-for-proposal responses while extending the company’s reach into specialized manufacturing and inventory management workflows.

The company’s flagship modernization, WrkPlanEDGE, shifts the existing ERP framework to Microsoft Blazor technology. This transition is designed to improve interface responsiveness while embedding AI-assisted accounts payable processing and customizable management dashboards. These tools prioritize visibility, specifically through an open items report that flags unposted transactions and unbilled labor costs.

Simultaneously, the firm is launching WrkPlanAI to tackle the proposal development bottleneck. By ingesting solicitation documents alongside historical performance data, the tool generates structured drafts for cost and technical proposals. This functionality serves to replace manual drafting with an automated starting point, allowing business development teams to focus on validation rather than initial composition.

Beyond administrative and proposal tasks, the company is diversifying into operational hardware and stock management. The new manufacturing and inventory suite integrates material requirements planning, multi-level bills of materials, and barcode-enabled warehouse tracking directly with the firm's established accounting and procurement modules. According to CEO Achintya Bhattacharjee, the strategy centers on reducing administrative burden and increasing competitive speed for contractors. The suite, which includes production scheduling and integrated invoicing, can be deployed as a standalone upgrade or in conjunction with the existing ERP infrastructure.
