Mountain Province Diamonds Finalizes Corporate Relocation to BC

Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. officially transitioned its corporate jurisdiction from Ontario to British Columbia on August 19, 2026. The move, finalized under the Business Corporations Act of British Columbia, follows shareholder approval granted during the company’s annual and special meeting held earlier this summer on June 30.

The diamond producer secured all necessary regulatory clearances under both Ontario and British Columbia securities laws to complete the transition. Following the issuance of a Certificate of Continuation by the provincial Registrar of Companies, the firm replaced its existing bylaws and articles with new governing documents tailored to the British Columbia Business Corporations Act.

Investors can access the formal documentation, including the certificate and updated constating instruments, via the company’s profile on the SEDAR+ database. Mountain Province maintains its significant interest in the Gahcho Kué diamond mine in the Northwest Territories, where it operates a 49% joint venture alongside De Beers, alongside extensive mineral claims surrounding the site.
