Zoomlion Scales Embodied AI for Industrial Manufacturing in Beijing

At the 2026 World Robot Conference in Beijing, Zoomlion Heavy Industry is shifting the focus of robotics from laboratory research to factory floors. The company is showcasing a suite of humanoid and quadrupedal machines alongside specialized software platforms designed to replace fixed-program automation with autonomous, self-correcting manufacturing units.

The centerpiece of the company's exhibition is its Robot Ops operating system, a development platform for the Software 3.0 era that integrates imitation learning, reinforcement learning, and task orchestration. By managing the full lifecycle of data collection and model training, the platform aims to provide a standardized engineering pathway for deploying embodied intelligence across construction machinery and industrial robotics.

Complementing the infrastructure is ZBrain, a system that enables traditional industrial hardware to transition into intelligent units capable of environmental sensing and autonomous decision-making. During live demonstrations at Booth D403, the bipedal Z01 humanoid handles wire-harness organization, while the wheeled Z03 unit performs material picking and precision pre-assembly of rearview mirrors. These capabilities have been stress-tested across nearly 20 manufacturing scenarios at the company’s own Smart City facilities. By moving beyond repetitive motion, Zoomlion seeks to support high-mix, low-volume production environments where quick changeover cycles and rapid deployment are critical for adoption.
