The Inspec Spider, developed by Green Light Multiplex Co. Limited, serves as a specialized solution for high-mast lighting maintenance. The patented system climbs poles reaching up to 35 meters, utilizing 360-degree cameras and artificial intelligence to identify structural degradation such as rust. By automating these tasks, the robot removes the need for personnel to operate at hazardous heights, potentially mitigating the economic disruptions often caused by road closures during manual inspections.
Dave Chan, Chairman and CEO of SU Group, noted that the agreement strengthens the company's competitive standing in Macao by deploying a proven, award-winning technology. The Inspec Spider previously earned a Gold Medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva and a Silver Edison Award, having already undergone field testing at Hong Kong International Airport. SU Group intends to leverage this partnership to target diverse infrastructure sectors, including stadiums, bridges, and tunnels, while establishing a foundation for further geographic expansion of its technology-enabled services.
