Verdera Energy CEO to Open Inaugural Los Alamos Nuclear Forum

As the U.S. nuclear sector seeks to reduce reliance on foreign fuel, industry leaders will gather at the SALA Event Center in New Mexico on August 25, 2026. The inaugural Los Alamos Nuclear Forum marks a strategic push to bridge the gap between national laboratories, tribal communities, and private uranium developers.

Verdera Energy CEO Janet Lee-Sheriff is set to deliver welcoming remarks alongside New Mexico Nuclear Alliance founder Scott Lopez. The event serves as a high-level assembly for policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs aiming to accelerate next-generation nuclear deployment. Organizers designed the forum to facilitate direct engagement between the government and the private sector, offering both in-person and virtual participation.

For Vancouver-based Verdera Energy, the forum highlights its role in the region's domestic uranium renaissance. The company currently manages approximately 400 square miles of private mineral rights in New Mexico, boasting 88 million pounds of known and historic resources. By participating in this gathering, the firm looks to solidify its standing as a primary supplier for the U.S. domestic supply chain while building outreach with local stakeholders.
