Footprints Behavioral Interventions Faces Class Action Over Labor Violations

San Diego attorneys have launched a class action lawsuit against Footprints Behavioral Interventions and Footprints Behavioral Health, accusing the firm of systemic labor code violations. The complaint, filed in San Diego County Superior Court, centers on allegations that staff were routinely denied mandatory meal and rest breaks during their shifts.

The litigation, identified as Case No. 26CU040788C, outlines a pattern of workplace practices that allegedly left employees unable to take legally required breaks. According to the filing, staff members were frequently interrupted during off-duty hours to complete tasks, effectively remaining on-call throughout their shifts. The suit claims that workers regularly exceeded five hours of labor without receiving a meal break, and were denied a second period during ten-hour shifts.

Beyond missed breaks, the lawsuit accuses the companies of failing to provide accurate wage statements, neglecting to pay overtime and minimum wages, and failing to reimburse necessary business expenses. The Zakay Law Group, which represents the class, argues that these policies forced employees to forfeit their breaks without compensation. The firm is currently soliciting further information from affected workers regarding these employment practices.
