BMO Financial Group Maintains Quarterly Dividend at $1.71

Bank of Montreal investors will receive a quarterly dividend of $1.71 per common share, as the board of directors confirmed the payout for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026. This figure remains unchanged from the previous quarter, maintaining a steady return for shareholders amidst current market conditions.

The bank also authorized dividends for several classes of preferred shares. Holders of Class B Preferred Shares Series 44 will receive $0.426 per share, while Series 50 and Series 52 shares carry payouts of $36.865 and $35.285 respectively. These preferred dividends, alongside the common share distribution, are classified as eligible for tax purposes under Canadian legislation.

Common shareholders retain the option to reinvest their cash dividends into additional common shares through the bank’s Dividend Reinvestment and Share Purchase Plan. Participation requires registered shareholders to submit enrollment forms to Computershare Trust Company of Canada by November 3, 2026. Non-registered holders should coordinate directly with their financial institutions to ensure timely processing. Most payouts are scheduled for November 26, 2026, with the record date set for October 30, 2026.
