The Dream to Screen Awards served as the culmination of a summer STEM curriculum, where middle and high school participants produced short videos focused on mental wellness, organization, and friendship. To facilitate the project, Epson provided participating clubs with Lifestudio projectors and EcoTank printers, allowing students to develop storyboards and review their work on large displays throughout the creative process.

During the event, attendees premiered their winning videos and discussed how technology has influenced their academic outlook. Terryl Brumm, President and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities, noted that the program’s success stems from its focus on personal narratives, which align with the organization’s ongoing centennial celebrations. Given the high level of engagement and positive feedback, local club leadership intends to integrate video-based group work into their programming beyond the summer months to further support youth development and communication skills.
