Veridian Credit Union debuts Money Moves financial literacy program

A potential $250 incentive awaits participants in Veridian Credit Union’s new Money Moves initiative, a program launching this September across Iowa and Nebraska to bolster personal financial habits. The credit union aims to bridge the gap between financial anxiety and stability through structured coaching, education, and direct debt-reduction support.

The curriculum centers on personalized planning, pairing members with coaches to tackle specific objectives like credit repair, savings growth, and aggressive debt repayment. By meeting participants at their current financial stage, the program seeks to replace generic advice with actionable strategies tailored to individual household circumstances. Ana Hernandez Eveland, the institution's Financial Empowerment Strategist, emphasizes that the initiative provides the resources necessary to navigate complex economic goals with greater clarity.

Registration for the free sessions is now open, with the first workshops scheduled to begin in mid-September across Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, and Omaha. A secondary rollout is slated for Des Moines on October 1. Beyond the educational component, the $250 matching incentive serves as a financial catalyst for those who complete the program, with funds earmarked for secured credit cards, certificates of deposit, or direct debt liquidation. Interested members can find scheduling details and enrollment portals through the credit union’s official website.
