The agreement marks a significant shift in how the franchise distributes its games, moving toward a team-owned digital model. The platform will support a wide array of devices, including web browsers, iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku, and Fire TV. By bypassing traditional barriers, the team aims to offer viewers greater flexibility to follow the Predators on their preferred devices, supplementing the existing broadcast partnership with Scripps Sports.
This development arrives shortly after the global sports entertainment platform DAZN finalized its acquisition of ViewLift. The partnership places Nashville among a growing network of 18 professional sports teams currently utilizing ViewLift’s streaming infrastructure. According to Bill Wickett, EVP and CMO of the Nashville Predators, the initiative is a direct investment in audience connectivity, catering to the specific demands of the local fan base. Rick Allen, CEO of ViewLift, noted that this collaboration represents their fourth joint distribution effort with an NHL team alongside Scripps Sports.
