Spotnana Acquires TROOP to Consolidate Corporate Travel Management

Corporate travel accounts for nearly 40% of company travel budgets, yet these expenses often remain fragmented and difficult to track. To address this, New York-based travel infrastructure firm Spotnana has acquired meeting logistics platform TROOP, aiming to unify transient travel and event planning under a single technological umbrella.

The merger arrives as corporate procurement teams increasingly demand centralized oversight. A recent Business Travel Show Europe survey indicates that over 60% of travel professionals now manage both general business trips and internal meetings, a significant shift from 50% in 2025. By integrating TROOP’s planning capabilities—which include location scouting, RSVP management, and budget tracking—with Spotnana’s booking and policy management systems, the combined entity provides a comprehensive view of total travel spend.

Steve Singh, Executive Chairman and CEO of Spotnana, noted that the two companies already shared technical compatibility through open APIs. Under the new arrangement, clients can purchase TROOP as a standalone solution or as part of the broader Spotnana suite. Dennis Vilovic, CEO and Co-Founder of TROOP, described the acquisition as a milestone in the company’s efforts to simplify how distributed teams coordinate in-person gatherings. The integrated offering will also remain available through Spotnana’s existing network of travel management company partners.
