Founded in 2019 under the NRTC Automation umbrella, iGAM transitioned into a standalone entity in 2024. The company’s rapid growth necessitated a move from the historic Mount Elliot Tool & Die building to its current, much larger Nevada Street site. This expansion is part of a broader commitment to the region, supported by partnerships with the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation and state-backed redevelopment incentives.
Unlike traditional used-equipment dealers, iGAM manages the entire lifecycle of industrial assets, including buying, decommissioning, and technical support. This approach has attracted major players like LÄPPLE Automotive, whose CEO, Oliver Wackenhut, cited the company’s ability to provide immediate, turnkey inventory as a deciding factor in meeting aggressive project timelines. As Detroit navigates its ongoing industrial renewal, iGAM is positioning its warehouse not merely as a storage space, but as a critical node for companies seeking sustainable, cost-effective alternatives to new-market procurement.
