Bloomberg 500 Index Reshuffles with Ten New Market Entrants

Ten companies will join the Bloomberg 500 index on September 10, 2026, marking a significant reconstitution of the benchmark that tracks over $60 trillion in aggregate market capitalization. The update shifts the index composition across diverse sectors while removing thirteen existing securities to maintain market representation standards.

The incoming firms, ranging from Revolution Medicines Inc. to KeyCorp, span the Industrials, Financials, Technology, Consumer Staples, Materials, and HealthCare sectors. This move notably doubles the index representation of the Electronics Manufacturing Services and Food & Drug Stores sub-industries through the addition of Flex Ltd. and Casey's General Stores. These changes are set to take effect prior to the market open, reflecting the index's ongoing adjustment to the evolving landscape of highly capitalized U.S. companies.

Conversely, thirteen firms are slated for removal. These exits are concentrated primarily within the Consumer Discretionary, Technology, and Industrials sectors. Among the notable departures are Aptiv PLC and Versigent PLC, a shift that removes all current representation of the Auto Parts sub-industry from the B500. Other exits include firms such as Figma Inc., HubSpot Inc., and Domino's Pizza Inc., signaling a broad rebalancing of the index’s weightings as Bloomberg Indices updates its strategic benchmarks.
