Dr. Silviana Falcon will spearhead this transition, assuming the role of Associate Provost for the Honors College while maintaining her leadership in the Barney Barnett School of Business and Free Enterprise. According to Executive Vice President and Provost Dr. Tracey Tedder, the move builds on a legacy of faculty-led mentorship, pushing the institution to provide a more intentional, interdisciplinary experience that extends well beyond traditional classroom boundaries.

Students will encounter a heightened focus on undergraduate research, field experiences, and internships, supported by new campus traditions such as an annual Honors Welcome Breakfast and a Pinning Ceremony. By establishing a dedicated space for the college, administration intends to foster a tighter intellectual community where students are consistently challenged and connected. Falcon views the initiative as a way to transform the trajectory of students' lives, encouraging them to pursue bold ideas and ethical leadership roles in their respective professions.
