The board of directors at Solstice, led by Chairman Dr. Rajeev Gautam, concluded that maintaining the company’s independence serves the best interests of its stakeholders. CEO David Sewell noted that while the acquisition was initially intended to accelerate the company’s strategic goals, the leadership team is now focused on leveraging its internal growth potential within sectors like semiconductor manufacturing, data center cooling, and nuclear energy.
To signal confidence in this path, the company authorized a $500 million share repurchase program. Alongside this, Solstice reaffirmed its financial guidance for the third quarter and the full year of 2026, projecting net sales between $4.125 billion and $4.185 billion for the fiscal year. The company maintains that its current balance sheet provides sufficient liquidity to fund organic growth initiatives while simultaneously returning capital to investors.
