For the Troy, Michigan-based company, this resilience stems from a standardized curriculum known as The Science of SwimPlay, which provides water safety and swimming instruction for children aged four months to 12 years. CEO and co-founder Chris McCuiston attributes the brand's stability to the dedication of local operators who maintain consistent service levels for families regardless of broader economic conditions.
Since launching its first franchised site in 2009, Goldfish has expanded to over 200 locations across North America, with another 150 schools currently in development.
