A Decade of Impact: Sheena Jeffries Marks Ten Years at Watercrest

When Sheena Jeffries began her career at Watercrest Senior Living Group in 2016, she focused on dementia care at the company’s inaugural community. Ten years later, as the Director of Resident and Family Experience, she is credited with shifting the organization’s focus from clinical diagnosis to individual life stories.

Jeffries has evolved through multiple leadership roles, including Regional Director of Engagement and Director of Memory Care Operations. Her influence became particularly visible in 2019, when she helped launch the company’s signature Live Exhilarated™ program. This initiative prioritized resident passions and strengths, a framework that now informs how the organization approaches associate training and daily service across its communities.

Marc Vorkapich, CEO of Watercrest, noted that Jeffries has transformed from a community-level leader into a key architect of the company’s internal culture. By emphasizing the importance of knowing each resident as an individual, she has helped codify the organization’s mission to move beyond standard care models. For Jeffries, the decade-long tenure remains rooted in a simple philosophy: identifying the person behind the diagnosis to ensure residents flourish in their environment.
