Summit Charging Partners with BTC POWER for 100-Site EV Network Expansion

Summit Charging is scaling its national footprint through a strategic partnership with BTC POWER, aiming to deploy 100 electric vehicle charging sites by 2028. The collaboration leverages NEVI-funded grants and BABA-compliant technology to move charging infrastructure beyond traditional fueling stops and into high-traffic retail and commercial zones.

The current development pipeline includes 17 sites featuring 107 chargers and 135 ports. These projects are split between eight NEVI-awarded locations in Washington, D.C., Texas, and California, four self-funded sites in California, and five additional sites planned for New York and Pennsylvania. Summit Charging utilizes BTC POWER’s 320 kW All-In-One DC fast-charging platform, which allows for site-specific power configurations and integrates battery energy storage to mitigate peak demand costs.

Unlike traditional refueling models, the partnership evaluates locations based on existing foot traffic, local demographics, and utility capacity. By selecting venues where drivers already work or shop, Summit intends to create reliable, high-uptime charging destinations. BTC POWER, which manufactures its hardware in Irvine, California, supports these sites with equipment capable of maintaining a 98% operational uptime, meeting the strict requirements necessary for federal infrastructure funding.
