According to the company’s latest financial disclosure based on Japanese accounting standards, revenue grew to ¥2.70 billion, representing a substantial increase from the ¥2.12 billion generated in the previous fiscal year. This growth enabled Asgent to post an operating profit of ¥168 million, effectively erasing the ¥182 million operating deficit reported in the prior period.
Strengthening the Bottom Line
The swing to profitability was reflected across all major financial metrics. Pretax profit reached ¥162 million, a sharp improvement over the previous year's ¥207 million loss. Consequently, earnings per share rose to ¥39.66, providing a stark contrast to the negative returns seen by shareholders just twelve months ago.Despite the improved financial health, the company has maintained a cautious approach to distributions. Asgent reported that no dividends were issued for the midyear or third quarter, following a year-end dividend of zero for the previous fiscal year. Future dividend payouts remain under forecast as the company nears the conclusion of its current reporting cycle.
