ActBlue Hits $20 Billion Milestone as Midterm Donors Mobilize

With the midterm elections just one month away, Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue has officially surpassed $20 billion in total lifetime contributions. The organization reported its most successful non-presidential third quarter to date, fueled by a surge in small-dollar donations that highlights growing grassroots engagement across the country.

Between July and September, the platform processed $833 million in contributions, marking a 29% increase over the same period during the 2022 midterm cycle. This influx of capital was driven by more than 3 million individual donors, with the average contribution holding steady at $44. CEO Regina Wallace-Jones noted that the platform accelerated its growth significantly this year, moving from $19 billion to $20 billion in just four months.

Of the total raised in Q3, $601 million was directed toward federal campaigns, while state and local races accounted for $180 million. Regional data reveals that California, New York, and Texas remain the leaders in fundraising volume. Texas, in particular, has emerged as a critical battleground for Democratic donors, currently ranking third in total fundraising volume since the 2022 midterm elections began. With over 19 million individual contributions recorded this quarter, the figures underscore a sustained effort by supporters to influence outcomes from local school boards to federal legislative seats.
