The initiative marks a significant shift for the G20 economy, which established the legal basis for such pathways in 2025. The program aims to bolster national fiscal objectives by offering two primary routes for foreign nationals: a non-refundable contribution of $350,000 to the National Treasury, or an $800,000 investment in Argentine sovereign bonds. Family members, including spouses and children, may also be included under specific contribution tiers.
Latitude Group, a founding member of the AMIGO consortium, has been instrumental in advising the Agency for Citizenship by Investment Programs on architecture and compliance. According to Latitude CEO Eric Major, the project is designed to attract globally mobile entrepreneurs while adhering to rigorous international standards. The vetting process will involve multiple state bodies, including the Financial Information Unit and the Ministry of Security, to ensure alignment with OECD and FATF recommendations regarding due diligence and anti-money laundering protocols. While the consortium provides technical expertise at no cost to the state, the final authority over all citizenship grants remains exclusively with the Republic of Argentina.
