Silvercorp Shareholders Approve Governance and Compensation Updates

With 123.18 million common shares represented at the annual general and special meeting, Silvercorp Metals Inc. secured shareholder approval for a slate of corporate governance changes and board re-elections. The voting participation reached 55.69% of all outstanding shares as of the October 2, 2026, record date.

Shareholders officially ratified the re-election of all six director nominees, including Dr. Rui Feng, who led the board with 98.86% of the vote. Other board members, including Paul Simpson, Yikang Liu, Marina Katusa, Ken Robertson, and Helen Cai, also maintained sufficient majority support to retain their positions.

Beyond board composition, the company successfully cleared two significant administrative hurdles. A special resolution passed with 95.74% support, authorizing amendments to the Articles to align with Hong Kong Stock Exchange listing requirements. Additionally, shareholders approved changes to the company’s share-based compensation plan, which received 84.51% approval. The meeting concluded with the re-appointment of Deloitte LLP as the company’s auditor for the coming year.
