Industry Leaders Form Steering Committee for Microelectronics US 2027

A coalition of executives from NVIDIA, AWS, Siemens, and other industry giants has formed a steering committee to guide the inaugural Microelectronics US conference, scheduled for May 4–5, 2027, in Austin. The group aims to unify disparate electronics sectors, from silicon manufacturing to AI-driven intelligent systems, under one event.

The committee is tasked with setting the agenda, identifying technical trends, and curating speaker lineups for the two-day gathering in the Silicon Hills. Members represent a broad spectrum of the supply chain, including GlobalFoundries, Ericsson, Cisco, and Honeywell, alongside academic and media representatives. By integrating semiconductor development, advanced packaging, photonics, and data center infrastructure, the event seeks to break down traditional industry silos. Michael Adeniya, Group Event Director for Microelectronics Global, noted that the committee is designed to reflect the entire product journey, from initial research to large-scale deployment. The conference will host over 2,500 attendees and 100 exhibitors across four stages. Programming includes live demonstrations and the Talent Foundry, a workforce initiative intended to bridge the gap between engineering students and industry professionals. Strategic backing from organizations like RISC-V International and the Edge AI Foundation underscores the event's focus on emerging hardware standards.
