The American Osteopathic Association has structured this year's gathering around the theme "Your Career. Your Path. Your OMED," offering attendees a flexible curriculum of over 200 hours of programming. Participants can secure up to 60 CME credits on-site, with digital access to sessions provided through the end of the year. AOA President Richard R. Thacker emphasized that the event serves as a critical junction for practitioners across all specialties to reinforce the profession’s core commitment to whole-person healthcare.
Programming highlights include a keynote address by Olympic medalist and cancer survivor Chaunté Lowe, alongside live clinical simulations managed by the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. The event also features a residency fair designed to bridge the gap between current medical students and training programs. Peter B. Ajluni, chair of the OMED Council, noted that the conference functions as both a clinical training ground and a networking catalyst, allowing physicians to refine their skills while celebrating the unique philosophy that distinguishes osteopathic medicine in the modern landscape.
