AllianceBernstein Assets Slip to $900 Billion in September

A 2% month-over-month decline pushed AllianceBernstein’s assets under management to $900 billion by the end of September 2026. While the firm faced market depreciation and net outflows during the period, it managed to secure $6 billion in total firmwide net inflows for the third quarter.

The Nashville-based investment manager saw its total assets contract from $919 billion at the close of August. This reduction was primarily attributed to shifting market conditions and a series of net outflows. Performance varied significantly by channel: the Institutional segment recorded net inflows, though these gains were ultimately offset by losses within the Retail and Private Wealth divisions.

Despite the September downturn, the firm maintained a resilient position for the quarter. Equity holdings across all channels totaled $356 billion, while fixed income assets stood at $315 billion. Alternatives and multi-asset solutions accounted for an additional $229 billion. Equitable Holdings, Inc. continues to hold a majority economic interest in the firm at approximately 68.3%.
