The company’s performance highlights a distinct acceleration in growth throughout the first nine months of the year. Organic sales grew 8.6% on a like-for-like basis, nearly doubling the 4.7% growth rate projected by market observers. The fragrance-and-beauty division served as the primary engine, recording a 14% increase fueled by demand for fine fragrances and consumer products, while the taste-and-wellbeing segment added a 3.5% rise.
Bernstein analysts noted that the results were driven primarily by higher sales volumes rather than price hikes, an outcome that exceeded even the optimistic expectations held by investors heading into the update. This shift toward volume-led growth suggests a robust demand cycle for the supplier’s core products despite broader economic pressures.
