Data Center Server Market Projected to Hit $1.3 Trillion by 2035

The global data center server market is undergoing a fundamental transformation, with valuations expected to reach $1.31 trillion by 2035. Driven by a massive shift toward AI-integrated architectures, the industry is moving away from general-purpose hardware toward high-value, rack-scale systems that command significantly higher price points per unit.

The market, valued at $365.40 billion in 2025, is currently expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 13.65%. This surge is largely attributed to the unit economics of AI hardware: a single AI-accelerated server averaged $178,500 in 2025, approximately 19 times the cost of a standard general-purpose unit. As these specialized systems gain dominance, the product mix has become the primary engine for revenue growth rather than simple volume expansion.

Integration at the rack level is emerging as a critical trend, with projections suggesting these systems will account for 48.6% of the total market value within the next decade. Buyers are increasingly opting for factory-integrated solutions that bundle compute, networking, and advanced liquid cooling. This shift forces a reconfiguration of the supply chain, where OEMs, ODMs, and chip-led platform suppliers like NVIDIA and AMD exert greater influence over full system design. Meanwhile, North America continues to command the largest share of the market at 52.4%, followed by the Asia Pacific region, though sovereign AI initiatives are creating new, significant demand pools in the public sector.
