Johnson Controls Offloads Intrusion Security Unit to Truelink Capital

Private equity firm Truelink Capital has secured a deal to acquire the global intrusion products business from Johnson Controls. The sale covers an array of alarm hardware, including sensors, detectors, and control panels. While the financial specifics remain undisclosed, the move follows a precedent set by Truelink’s 2024 acquisition of Air Distribution Technologies, another division previously held by Johnson Controls. Upon the anticipated closing of the deal in the first half of 2027, the intrusion business will transition into an independent entity operating under the backing of its new owners.
