Morpho Inc. Losses Deepen to 681 Million Yen in First Half

A sharp decline in revenue has pushed Tokyo-based Morpho Inc. into deeper financial distress, with net losses ballooning to 681 million yen for the half-year ending April 30. This figure marks a significant deterioration from the 192 million yen loss recorded during the same period last year under Japanese accounting standards.

The company’s latest financial disclosures reveal a contracting top line, with revenue falling to 1.15 billion yen from 1.53 billion yen a year earlier. Compounding the revenue drop, operating losses widened substantially to 539 million yen, compared to a loss of 108 million yen in the prior fiscal year. Pretax profit also slumped, showing a deficit of 464 million yen against the previous year’s 129 million yen loss. Consequently, the company reported a per-share loss of 130.05 yen, a steep increase from the 36.75 yen loss per share sustained in the same period of 2025.
