Perrone joins the Stockholm-based appliance giant following a tenure as managing director for the U.K. and Ireland at Haier Smart Home. His background includes leadership of Haier’s European cooling division, prior roles at Whirlpool EMEA, and a stint as a management consultant at Kearney. Rotger, the former strategy chief, has transitioned to lead the company’s wellbeing and small domestic appliances product line.
This shift in leadership coincides with a challenging fiscal environment for Electrolux. The firm is currently executing a 9 billion Swedish kronor rights issue and has forged new alliances with China’s Midea Group to bolster its North American operations. Facing stagnant consumer demand and persistent pressure from budget-friendly competitors, the company is pushing through an aggressive restructuring plan that includes manufacturing optimizations and staff reductions.
