System D Profit Slides Despite Revenue Gains

System D Inc. reported a net profit of 410 million yen for the half-year ending April 30, marking an 8% decline compared to the 446 million yen recorded during the same period last year. Earnings per share dropped to 21.31 yen from 23.21 yen, even as top-line revenue moved in the opposite direction.

System D Profit Slides Despite Revenue Gains

Revenue for the Japanese firm grew to 3.03 billion yen, up from 2.80 billion yen in the previous year. Despite this expansion in sales, the company’s bottom line faced pressure, leaving operating profit stagnant at 652 million yen. Pretax profit saw a marginal uptick, reaching 655 million yen compared to 654 million yen previously. These results, based on Japanese accounting standards, reflect a challenging period where increased turnover failed to translate into higher shareholder returns.
