Hisense RGB MiniLED Screens Power FIFA VAR Operations in Dallas

FIFA has officially integrated Hisense RGB MiniLED display technology into its Video Assistant Referee operations at the International Broadcast Centre in Dallas. The screens now serve as the primary monitoring interface for match officials, tasked with delivering the visual precision required to adjudicate high-stakes tournament incidents.

The deployment follows a visit to the IBC by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who reviewed the officiating workflow using the hardware. Unlike standard displays, these units utilize independently controlled red, green, and blue light sources to achieve enhanced contrast and color accuracy. This technical capability aims to reduce ambiguity during frame-by-frame reviews of match incidents on the pitch.

Nick Brown, FIFA Director of Commercial Partnerships, described the integration as a move toward greater accuracy in officiating. For Hisense, the partnership serves as a high-profile validation of its proprietary display innovation. The company, which maintains a leading position in the 100-inch and larger television market, intends to leverage this tournament presence to emphasize its role in both broadcast production and the broader evolution of how global audiences consume football.
