The order, announced June 15, follows a similar 15 MW contract placed by the same customer in 2024. Deliveries of the 100 kW modules are scheduled to commence in the second half of 2026. Ballard CEO Marty Neese described the repeat business as a clear endorsement of the company’s ability to provide quiet, zero-emission power in environments where traditional combustion engines have long been the standard.
Beyond the hardware, the agreement includes Ballard’s service suite, covering predictive maintenance and performance optimization. These fuel cell systems are designed for scalable deployment, serving as prime, peak, or backup power sources. By targeting off-grid applications such as live events and film production, Ballard aims to displace diesel-based generation with cleaner, low-noise alternatives.
