Sotoh Co. Profit Climbs to 515 Million Yen Despite Operating Loss

Revenue for the Japanese company rose to 10.72 billion yen, up from 10.04 billion yen in 2025. While total profit figures improved, the firm's core operational performance remained under pressure as the operating loss deepened from the previous year's 146 million yen. Pretax profit also shifted, moving from a gain of 31 million yen to a loss of 36 million yen.

Investors saw an uptick in per-share earnings, which reached 41.18 yen compared to 32.28 yen the prior year. These results, prepared according to Japanese accounting standards, highlight a divergence between the company's net financial gains and its underlying operational costs.
