Associated Bank Expands Annual Volunteer Effort Across Six States

Nearly 2,600 Associated Banc-Corp employees will mobilize across the Midwest from June 23–25 for the bank’s fourth annual Day of Service. The initiative, which now includes staff from recently acquired American National Corporation, focuses on addressing food insecurity and youth services through community-based volunteer projects.

The expansion brings Iowa and Nebraska into the fold, marking the first time employees from these regions participate in the bank’s signature outreach program. Volunteers will support over 200 nonprofit organizations through activities ranging from community gardening and neighborhood cleanups to staffing youth summer programs. The effort specifically targets the summer gap in school meal programs, a period when food insecurity among children often intensifies.

Beyond direct labor, the bank is awarding $13,400 in grants to 11 nonprofits dedicated to housing stability and youth development. This builds on the company’s broader $2 billion Community Commitment Plan, which funds local development and charitable initiatives. Prior to the main volunteer window, the bank is also hosting its Stock the Box™ drive, inviting the public to drop off nonperishable goods at local branches through June 19.

LaDonna Reed, head of the Associated Bank Foundation, noted that the integration of new colleagues from the American National merger serves as a milestone for the company’s regional presence. Since its inception in 2023, the Day of Service has logged over 20,500 volunteer hours, representing a community service value exceeding $687,000.
