U.S. Soybean Exports Exceed Analyst Expectations

U.S. soybean export sales reached 729,000 metric tons for the week ending June 11, landing at the upper end of market expectations. While analysts had projected a range between 400,000 and 850,000 tons, the latest Department of Agriculture report confirms a robust demand cycle for the 2025/26 and 2026/27 marketing years.

U.S. Soybean Exports Exceed Analyst Expectations

Corn and wheat exports followed a more predictable path, with corn sales hitting 1.68 million tons and wheat reaching 427,700 tons, both squarely within the forecasted ranges. Alongside the weekly totals, the USDA disclosed a series of flash sales, including 132,000 tons of soybeans bound for China and 285,775 tons of corn destined for Mexico, both scheduled for the 2026/27 delivery window. An additional 120,000 tons of soybeans were purchased by unknown buyers for the same period.

Despite the positive export data, CBOT grain futures faced downward pressure during pre-market trading. Corn, soybeans, and wheat all saw marginal declines of 0.5% as traders digested the latest supply and demand figures.
