Dr. Steven Gundry Targets Cellular Aging With New NMN Supplement

By age 70, the human body retains only a fraction of its youthful NAD+ levels, a decline linked to fatigue, cognitive fog, and metabolic slowdown. Cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Steven Gundry is addressing this physiological gap with the launch of Elevate NAD+, a supplement utilizing a new enteric-coated delivery system.

The supplement, developed under the Gundry MD brand, centers on nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN). While NMN is a well-documented precursor to NAD+—the coenzyme essential for DNA repair and energy production—its efficacy has historically been hindered by poor stability and premature degradation in the digestive tract. Gundry’s new formula attempts to bypass these hurdles through patent-pending beadlet technology, which protects the compound from stomach acid until it reaches the gut.

Beyond NMN, the product incorporates an additional blend of ingredients, including nicotinamide riboside tartrate, liposomal quercetin, and wasabi root extract. The formulation also features adaptogens like ashwagandha and holy basil, designed to support stress resilience and cognitive function. According to the company, these components work in tandem to clear senescent cells and promote cellular regeneration. While internal company surveys suggest high user satisfaction, the product remains a dietary supplement and has not been evaluated by the FDA for the treatment of specific diseases.
