According to new industry analysis from Grand View Research, the market reached USD 252.33 billion in 2025 and is projected to hit USD 310.37 billion by the end of 2026. This growth is underpinned by the transition of influencers and individual content creators into scalable digital entrepreneurs who leverage direct-to-consumer models, such as subscription communities and social commerce, rather than relying solely on traditional advertising.

Individual creators currently dominate the landscape, accounting for 57.2% of global revenue. While North America holds the largest market share at 33.2%, the Asia Pacific region is emerging as the fastest-growing hub, fueled by expanding internet connectivity and a surge in smartphone adoption. Technological integration is the primary engine behind this shift; artificial intelligence now allows creators to automate editing, refine audience targeting, and streamline production workflows. As creators diversify their revenue through memberships and merchandise, video streaming remains the most influential format, though podcasting is rapidly gaining ground as a key monetization channel.
